About the Institute
Mission |
The Albanian Institute of National Affairs is an independent research and study institution (Think Tanks). It aims at the consolidation of democratic principles, development of the society and institutions in Albania, national security, social and economical development of the country, human rights and the European integration of Albania.
With its activities, the institute defends the public interest in any case and the constitutional and legal rights of the citizens. The Institute was established in 2001.

National Office |
Our National Office is located in Tirana and it helps organizing the program of events, meetings, and conferences. It also produces the Institute’s publications. The National Office will assist the branches, that will be established in the future in Albania and abroad, for their local or common activities.

Branches |
INA is working for the establishment of branches in USA, Europe and other countries all over the world. Branches will hold regular meetings with guests who will speak about Albanian and international Issues, always cooperating with the National Office and with counterpart Institutes in the country where the activity will be held. All these activities will be organized in accordance with the Statute if the Institute. |
The Annual National Policy Conference |
The Annual National Policy Conference will be also organized every year. It will focus on internal problems and issues of Albania in different fields of life. Experts from the country and from around the world join INA members and other participants for one day of presentations and discussions. |
The Annual Foreign Policy Conference |
The Annual Foreign Policy Conference will be soon organized. It will be another new event organized by the Institute, which will be organized annually. Experts from all around the world will join INA members and other interested participants for two days of presentations and intensive discussions. The conference will be held in Tirana every year with the INA support. These conferences usually attract many people. |
Special Report |
This report is published once a year and contains the actual problems of the Albanian democracy, the political developments, the national security, the judicial power, the civil society and the Media. From its beginnings, this “Special Report” is known as one of the most famous publications of the Institute and has found support from national and international factors. The readers of this report profit from the large variety of analysis of different specialist for the internal problems and questions of Albania. |

The Aims |
The institute with its own research activity aims at:
- Emancipation of the Albanian society for a civil and democratic society.
- Creation of peaceful climate in the country, free from political interests.
- Encouragement of government for economical reforms, for a social-economical development of the country, in accordance with EU standards.
- Enouragement of public policy and public administration activity as primary factors for the progress of the society and of country.
- Encouragement of government for deep reforms in the justice system for the consolidation of the rule of law and the fight against the corruption.
- The consolidation of the public institutions and the creation of a new political elite.
- Encouragement of government and other institutions for necessary legislative initiatives through the drafting of new laws for problems that the Albanian society is encountering.
- Commitment for strengthening for national security for the development and the stability of the country, as a condition for the European integration.
- Encouragement of government for stengthening security and law and order in the country and the sterngthening of fight against terrorism and organised crime.
- Contribute on reaching an efficient foreign policy, free of dilettantism and politics.

Functioning & Organization |
The institute has its own organization and its executive forums elected in a democratic way. It is subject to its statute and the laws of the Albanian state.

Senate |
| The highest forum of institute is the Senate. It is made by members, “Honorable Members” and other selected members. |
Bord of Directors |
The Institute is led by the Directive Board. It develops the program of the institute, approves the budget and the financial bills, and coordinates the relations of the institute with governmental and non-governmental organizations. It helps and directs the other departments. The Directive Board analyzes general and specific problems, hence it takes detailed and precise decisions authorized by the statute.
